A cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR) version of REMI solar installation trainings has been designed and trialled with participants.
When participants first put on VR glasses, they need to get familiar with basic manoeuvres of the controllers in 8 different ‘trial stations’, like learning how to measure distances with a virtual measuring tape or how to drill holes with a virtual screwdriver. Then they are ready to step onto the virtual roof – here they install a set of panels by planning, measuring, carrying the panels and fixing them correctly to the roof. In the end, the participant’s performance is rated, and feedback is given via the VR system.
